Dr. Shrotriya, a native of Udaipur, brings with him an illustrious career spanning 58 years. He is a Fellow of the Indian Society of Agronomy and holds distinguished roles across numerous national and international organizations. A seasoned communicator, he has effectively leveraged ICT tools such as radio, television, films, and print media to disseminate information to rural communities. With over 100 published papers and articles, he has also edited several books and proceedings.

An environmentalist and agricultural scientist, Dr. Pant has devoted her life to restoring rivers and caring for Mother Earth. Her primary work focuses on the River Suyal in Uttarakhand, where she channels her energy into nurturing both the region's ecology and its youth. She also pioneered the brand “Nettle of Uttarakhand,” creating value-added products from wild stinging nettle under projects supported by the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MOEFCC). An alumna of G. B. Pant University of Agriculture and Technology and a Ph.D. scholar from the CSIR–Central Institute of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants (CIMAP), Lucknow, she is the author of Beginning of Agriculture and Domestication in India and has published more than 25 research papers. Her work highlights traditional knowledge systems, sustainable agriculture, water conservation, and livelihood generation in the mountain regions of Uttarakhand. Dr. Vasudha Pant truly embodies the spirit of “reviving the dying, nurturing the living, and protecting our future.”
